"Over 20 years of lecturing"

For the last twenty years, until 2006, I lectured one graduate course in Computer Science per semester at Bar-Ilan University. I tried to introduce a new course topic every year or two to keep lecturing interesting.

  • Database Systems
  • Windowing Systems
  • Object Oriented Systems
  • Image Processing
  • Introduction to Operating Systems
  • Networking
  • Compiler Design
  • Computer Language Design
  • Computer Architecture
  • Advanced Operating Systems
  • Communication and Information Theory
  • Photorealistic Rendering
  • I have 13 students, who I advised, who over the years have finished theses.

    Some thesis topics are:

  • Code Generation for Parallel Processors
  • Networking Protocols (Sctp)
  • World Wide Web Navigation
  • Debugging Environment
  • Operating System Design
  • Hardware Virtualization
  • Union File Systems
  • Network Address Translation
  • Non Hierarchical File Systems
  • World Wide Web Visualization
  • Dynamic Code Rewriting
  • Circuit Emulation Service - Voice Over Packet
  • Linux Kernel Paging

  • In the 2006 academic year I taught two courses:

Semester 1 - Photorealistic Image Synthesis
This course calls upon techniques from four fields of study: Physiology, Physics, Applied Mathematics and Computer Science. No specific prerequisites for this course is required, but the student should feel comfortable with the multi-discipline approach of this course.
