Our readers tell us ...

  • "If knowledge is power, this is a most powerful book - guiding families towards the most powerful Jewish experience they might share."
    • Avi S. West, Executive Director of the Board of Jewish Education, Greater Washington

  • "As a Rabbi and a mother, I am thrilled to have this resource book available to me! Isaacson and Rosenbloom transform the idea of a Bar/Bat Mitzvah ceremony in Israel from a fantasy to a reality. Filled with detailed facts and plenty of e-mail addresses, this book also emphasizes the spiritual aspects of the ceremony, especially with Torah Tie-In adventures and Tzedekah suggestions. It's an invaluable sourcebook appropriate for families of every Jewish denomination."

  • "Impressively thorough and well-organized book. This is a fine piece of work from the viewpoint of thoroughness, style, presentation and philosophy. Now we can plan our grandson's Bar Mitzvah next summer in Israel."
    • A Reader from Boca Raton, Florida

  • "Love your book! You've inspired us in many ways. A dear friend and I are bringing our families to Israel this summer for our son and daughter's bar and bat mitzvah (combined). We're having the service at the wall. Based upon your book, we have booked an after service luncheon at the patio at Beit Shmuel."

  • Upon returning from Israel, we received this note from the readers in Kansas City:
"I wrote to you several months ago regarding Beit Shmuel. We read your book and were wondering if it would be a nice place to have lunch after our Bar Mitzvah at the Wall. You kindly wrote back to me and we took your advice and had it there.
It was outstanding! We chose the lower patio that was nicely shaded. After being out in the hot sun for a few hours it was a delightful reprieve. They set up tables with umbrellas for 60 people with a buffet. It looked beautiful. And after lunch, the courtyard allowed us to dance! And, for the little ones in the group, it allowed them the freedom to get up and move around.
